Both days are open to the industry and other participants.
Workshop attendees will enjoy a special tour of OZ Winery led by Head Winemaker Noah Wright in Wamego, KS followed by a tour at Tallgrass Brewery in Manhattan, KS led by Austin Hibbs. Participants will have the opportunity to see a variety of production techniques, processing equipment, and strategies for sanitation.
In addition to the tours, attendees will hear guest presentations by Joe Lutomske of New World Winery Equipment and Alan Westfall of Westfall Company, Inc.
Workshop topics will include:

- Chemistry of Cleaners and Sanitizers
- Sanitary Design and Stainless Steel
- Bioluminescence for the Wine Industry
- Care and Maintenance of Barrels
- Cleaning the Winery and Winery Equipment

- Ozone in the Wine Business

Location:
It is recommended that attendees plan to stay in the Wamego, KS area. We will travel together on both days.
Travel:
Attendees traveling by air should consider flying in and out of the Manhattan Regional Airport. It has daily flights from Dallas and Chicago on American Airlines.
Lodging:
Please make your own reservation. A block of rooms has been reserved at Wamego Inn & Suites in Wamego, KS under the group name “Highland” for $139.00/night. You are welcome to make reservations at other area hotels, but we will all meet here and travel together to the wineries.
Dining:
We will plan to eat lunch and dinner as a group on Saturday. Sunday, lunch will be on your own. All other meals will be at the participants’ own expense.
