Both days are open to students. Day 2 is open to the industry and other participants. On Saturday, March 3rd, attendees will gain hands-on experience with sanitation and sterilization at Elmaro Winery in Centerville, WI. This will include cellar experience and working with their new mobile bottling line. In addition, Paul Gospodarczyk will lead an educational tour of wineries on the Great River Road along the scenic Mississippi River.
On Sunday, March 4th, “Boot Camp for Your Nose,” will be our theme. Investigate the perception of wine aromas and tastes. This session is intended for a broad group of wine industry professionals: winemakers seeking sensory reinforcement; tasting room managers desiring to conduct in-house training; winery sales staff who strive to build confidence in descriptive analysis; or enthusiasts interested in learning to enjoy their wine on another level.

Location:
It is recommended that attendees plan to stay in the greater La Crosse, WI area. We will travel together to wineries on both days.
Travel:
Attendees traveling by air should consider flying in and out of the La Crosse Municipal Airport. It has daily flights from Detroit and Minneapolis/St. Paul on Delta and from Chicago on American Airlines.
Lodging:
Please make your own reservation. A block of rooms has been reserved at Stoney Creek Inn in Onalaska, WI under the group name “VESTA” for $89.00/night. The Stony Creek Inn has an airport shuttle that runs from 7:00 am-10:00 pm daily. This hotel includes a hot breakfast. You are welcome to make reservations at other area hotels, but we will all meet here and travel together to the wineries.
Dining: We will plan to eat lunch and dinner as a group on Saturday. Sunday, lunch will be on your own. All meals will be at the participants’ own expense.
