David Sandri of Winesecrets, a specialist in fixing challenging wine problems, will be assisting and providing us with great examples of bad wine

January 28, 2012    8:00 am – 1:00 pm  

Topics will include, wine tasting methodology, wine sensory components, wine faults and flaws, and errors in the perception of wine.

In addition, workshop attendees will be guided through sensory test methods to access perceived differences and preferences in wine.

Location:

This semester’s workshop will be held at the Landmark Executive Center in Santa, Rosa, CA.

Cost:

$249 per person.  There is no charge for VESTA students currently enrolled in VIN 266 - Sensory Evaluation.  

Travel:

Attendees traveling by air should consider flying in and out of the Sonoma County Airport located in Santa Rosa, CA. Other airports in the area include San Francisco International Airport, Oakland or the Sacramento International Airport, which is approximately 2 hours away.

Lodging:

It is recommended that attendees stay at the Fountaingrove Inn, located in Santa Rosa.  VESTA has a block of rooms sent aside for $89.00 per night. Dining:

A light breakfast will be included on site both mornings and a simple lunch will be included on Friday.  We will plan to eat lunch and dinner as a group on Friday.  Friday dinner and Saturday lunch will be at the participants’ own expense.
